Interview with an Accounting student

Oudammoral is 23 years old and studied Accounting at the Royal University of Law and Economics. At this moment she is an auditor at a private company in Cambodia. During her major she really enjoyed the challenges and the technical aspects of the study program. As accounting is a major that needs to be up-to-date, the laws are constantly updated by GDT or NBC which made the major sometimes a bit hard for her. However, she didn’t spend much time on the major. Oudammoral mostly studied at the university and she spent 1 hour per day reviewing a class or completing an assigned task.

Her tip for you: Do you like a silent working environment that provides plenty of challenges? Then this major is a perfect fit for you.

Sreynich likes the subject of Monetary Economy best, because it provides an insight into both local and world economy.

Ratha mentions that high school subjects that are important for this major are Khmer, Morality, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English. Mathematics because the study is about numbers and English is crucial because most documents for research are in English. Sreynich also recommends paying special attention to Economics because you need Mathematics and Economics to understand the subjects in this major. Once you graduate, it will be easy to find a job.
