Would you like to improve people’s oral health? Then you should consider a major in Dental Assisting and Technology. As a dental nurse you can join a dental health care team treating patients of all ages. You will assist the team by performing tasks such as preparing instruments to be used during treatment procedures, recording medical information, advising patients on oral hygiene and ensuring that patients are feeling at ease while being treated. You will learn about a variety of dental procedures from general check-ups to specialist treatments. If you prefer a technical approach, you might be interested in dental prosthetics. You will learn to produce, examine and maintain dental prosthetics and dental appliances.
