The government of Cambodia offers a teacher training program in order to become a primary school teacher. A few conditions apply if you would like to register for this program. First, you have to take a state exam after high school. This is possible for high school graduates and students until the age of 25. The exam covers the following subjects: Khmer Language, Mathematics, and Khmer General Education. When you pass the exam you can enroll in teacher training. This training lasts two years, after which you are ready to teach.

Thary chose this major because this job requires integrity, you work hard to share knowledge with young children and the work is valued. Thary likes teaching, but feels her knowledge is still limited. Thary spends 5 days a week studying.
