You will learn how to preserve and conserve forests, how to prevent forest fires, and to take care of wildlife in different forest environments. You will look at all these aspects while taking into account environmental, economic, and recreational effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interview with a Forestry student<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>SEA Ly (24) is a year 2 student majoring in <strong>Forestry<\/strong> at the Royal University of Agriculture. He chose this major because <strong>he loves natural resources, forests, loves planting <\/strong>and wants to do research in this field and become an expert in work related to Forestry. What he <strong>likes about his major<\/strong> is that he works <strong>directly in the forest<\/strong> and learns about the <strong>environment, plants and natural resources management<\/strong>. Moreover, he gets knowledge about plants and planting and about looking after plants and forests. His favourite subject so far is <strong>Botany<\/strong>, because he learns about everything that is to be known about plants, such as names, stem shapes, leaves etc. Ly adds that he has to study <strong>5 days a week from 8.00 to 12.00<\/strong>, but he loves it. In the future Ly hopes to work as a <strong>government officer<\/strong>, for instance as a <strong>ranger<\/strong> at the Ministry of Environment, or as a chief of Forestry in Forest Administration; but there are plenty of options.
