Sokun Ngan is a 22-year old student of the Department of Media and Communication<\/strong> at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. She mentions that the availability of scholarships <\/strong>was very important to her when deciding what major to follow. Luckily, she was able to receive a scholarship for this major. What inspired her to enroll in this major, was her dream of becoming a journalist <\/strong>who speaks on behalf of the underrepresented women and other people in her community. She wants to speak up about these issues to create a better society<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sokun loves that the major focuses on photography <\/strong>and video production<\/strong>. She also really enjoys that she is able to write about issues surrounding women in Cambodia. Her favorite subject so far was Video Production<\/strong>. She really never got tired of it, and never procrastinated homework for the subject. After graduation, Sokun would like to become a public relation officer<\/strong>, with a background in journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sokun\u2019s advice for high school students?<\/strong> Sokun emphasizes that you need to be confident that you can make a difference. She says that if you really want something, you\u2019ll always be able to achieve that goal, as long as you are willing to push yourself and work hard.
