Soo Haingkheang, Huyleang Mann and Rathana are all students at the Department of Media and Communication<\/strong> at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Most of them joined this major because they were interested in media<\/strong>, communication<\/strong>, and English<\/strong>. Rathana says she likes this major a lot, because it is very up to date<\/strong>. Huyleang adds that she likes the major because it also focuses on English <\/strong>and media<\/strong>. She mentions that there are a lot of opportunities to develop yourself <\/strong>and there\u2019s even a photography festival<\/strong> where you can show your photography work to other students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, there are also things about the major that the students dislike. The students say that the major can be challenging <\/strong>sometimes, as you have to focus on a lot of subjects at the same time. The students agree that the subjects English<\/strong>, Khmer<\/strong>, Literature<\/strong>, and History <\/strong>are the most relevant high school subjects for following a major in Communication. Rathana says that you should definitely study this major<\/strong> if you love sharing your ideas with other people, or if you are interested in (social) media, entertainment, journalism and public relations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The three students all have a different favourite subject<\/strong>. Soo really enjoyed Journalism Inquiry<\/strong>, as this subject provided the students the chance to practice the skill of writing news reports <\/strong>for both national and international news outlets. Huyleang also enjoyed subjects about writing news, because she likes telling Cambodians what happened in their country. Rathana on the other hand really liked the subject Public Relations<\/strong>.
